On the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian culture is being widely spread in Rome, thanks to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Italy. The Italian Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce is very proud of this cultural initiative as it shows the strong consolidation between two countries.

On this great historical occasion the Foundation “Musica per Roma”, together with the Institute of Lithuanian Culture and the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Italy, set up a festival dedicated to the Lithuanian culture, from the 4th to the 14th of may. The Festival wants to give Rome the chance to experience the variety of Lithuanian art in its many forms: visual art, architecture, performance, classical music, jazz, theater. The ambitious project, produced in collaboration with prestigious institutions of Rome, as Auditorium Parco della musica, Teatro di Roma- Teatro Nazionale, Palazzo Brachi, MAXXI – the National Museum of 21st Century and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, aims at conveying an overview of the Lithuanian contemporary art scene. The festival will present 11 different shows, from classic to jazz music, from theater to dance, from exhibitions to video-art, with the participation of already known and emerging artists.
